I was the main and final responsible for the internal data repository of genomics and clinical data that formed the backbone for the Alissa clinical decision support software which was used by 150 clinical diagnostics labs worldwide to analyse over 2.5 million patient samples.
Enabled and implemented procedures for Alissa customers to easily share variant interpretations among peers. This was done on a regional level and resulted in more than 300k shared clinical interpretations which greatly enhanced customer retention and allowed them to speed up patient analysis and improve diagnostic outcomes.
Supported and supervised government funded research projects with external partners, EU projects OncNGS and Ageing with Elegans, and ICON GAP with IMEC.
Supported customers with all aspects, frontend and backend, of the use of the Alissa Clinical Informatics platform
Developed a custom multi-objective optimisation algorithm for the design of new small molecules towards selected targets
Implemented software libraries and machine learning models for virtual drug discovery and classification of compound libraries
Implementation of virtual small molecule library profiling and visualisation tool at Galapagos (Mechelen, Belgium), UCB (Braine-Alleud, Belgium), Servier (Croissy, France) in successful fee-for-service projects.
